District 8 4-H will host a Shooting Sports Coaches Training for Archery, Rifle, Pistol, and Shotgun in Stephenville on November 11-12, 2017. This training is open to potential 4-H coaches across the state and registration is conducted through 4-H Connect (registration is October 9 – October 27). The training cost is $120, covering meals and course materials. Lodging is not provided for registrants; However, a room block is available at the Holiday Inn Express in Stephenville.

District 8 4-H is partnering with Diamond E Awards to raise funds for Texas 4-H families effected by Hurricane Harvey. Proceeds from the purchase of shirts will be sent to the state 4-H office to go into the hurricane relief fund that has been set up.
If you are a member/family of 4-H please work with your county office to coordinate shirt orders.
If a County puts together a minimum order of 12 shirts, then their shirts can have their “COUNTY NAME” (Example: Erath County 4-H, Williamson County 4-H, etc.) printed on the shirt.
If you have just a few that want to order a shirt (but not meet the minimum of 12) then they will have “District 8” printed on them instead.
Others not affiliated with a county program but would still like to support these efforts and receive a District 8 4-H t-shirt, you may order directly from D8.

The Take Aim 4-H Club of Coryell County is hosting their 3rd Annual Shootout on Saturday, May 6, 2017 at the Lobo Ranch in Gatesville, TX. The District 8 4-H Nutrition Quiz Bowl contest was held Saturday, March 4 at the McLennan Community College Emergency Services Education Center in Waco. Nutrition Quiz Bowl is a competition where participants must be knowledgeable about food and nutrition topics, and participants use a buzzer in order to answer.
