Are you interested in the outdoors? Maybe a little rifle, archery, sportfishing, camping? Well, now Texas 4-H is offering an exciting, fun-filled, hands-on contest where you get to show off the outdoor skills you have! It’s called the Texas 4-H Outdoor Challenge!
This event is conducted in the summer in teams of two. You compete in the areas of rifle, shotgun, archery, sportfishing, swimming, canoeing, camping, outdoor living skills, orienteering, identification of wildlife and natural resources, outdoor safety all while enhancing your teamwork and decision-making skills!
Hood County is hosting a workshop to learn about these events and to talk about the contest structure and some team strategies. Check out the flyer! The workshop is scheduled for Tuesday, April 12, 2011 in Granbury at the Hood County Extension Office located at 1410 W Pearl Street.
