Congratulations to the McLennan County 4-H Livestock Judging Team for earning the title of Reserve Champion National 4-H Livestock Judging Team! They competed earlier this week at the North American International Livestock Exposition in Louisville, Kentucky after claiming Champion honors in June at the Texas 4-H Roundup Livestock Judging Contest. The team was also Reserve Champion in the Cattle Division, Reserve Champion in the Swine Division, and Reserve Champion in the Oral Reasons Division!
Team members are Emily Jackson of Waco who attended Bosqueville High School, Taylor Haliburton of Waco who attended Midway High School, Dalton Meurer of West who attends attends West High School, and Laramie Priest of Lorena who attends Lorena High School. The team was coached by County Extension Agent David Groschke.
Emily Jackson was 4th High Individual Overall (earning All American honors for Top 20) and 2nd High Individual in the Reasons Division. Taylor Haliburton was 13th High Individual overall (earning All American honors for Top 20), 7th High Individual in the Swine Division, 3rd High Individual in the Cattle Division, 5th High Individual in the Performance Beef Cattle Division, and 3rd High Individual in the Reasons Division. Laramie Priest was 6th High Individual in the Swine Division.
