Bosque County 4-H Archery Invitational Tournament
Attention all archers! Bosque County 4-H will be hosting a Archery Invitational Tournament on Saturday, April 9, 2011 in Clifton. All 4-H members are eligible to participate. There will even be a coaches division after all 4-H members are finished! There will be three age divisions based on 4-H age (age as of August 31, 2010): Junior, Intermediate, and Seniors. Leon County Leaders 4 Life Team Reserve Champion at the Western National Roundup
A one-point difference in scores marked the difference between first and second place as it ranked the Leon County Leaders 4 Life team as the Reserve National Champion team in Parliamentary Procedure at the Western National Roundup in Denver, Colorado. The Leon County team is the first team from Texas to compete in the Parliamentary Procedure contest at the Western National Roundup. Johnson County 4-H Meat Judging Team Wins National Championship
The Johnson County 4-H Meat Judging Team traveled to Denver, Colorado to the National Western Stock Show to compete in the annual Western National Roundup 4-H Meat Judging Contest. The contest was held in Fort Collins, Colorado where it was hosted by Colorado State University. The Johnson County team representing Texas walked away with the National Championship honors. Forty-two contestants representing 11 states competed in this year’s contest. Other states placing were Kansas in second place, Indiana in third, Iowa in fourth, and New Mexico in fifth.
