Congratulations to Benjamin Murphy of Bosque County 4-H for winning second place with his entry in the Texas 4-H Beekeeping Essay Contest.

Today the Texas 4-H and Youth Development Program is announced this year’s Beekeeping Essay results.  Below is a complete ranking of all the participants in the contest. The first through third place individuals will received prize money for their work. The first place winner will also be advancing on to the National Beekeeping Essay Contest to compete for additional awards.

1^st place – Lauren Kilpatrick – Denton County – $300
2^nd place – Benjamin Murphy – Bosque County – $200
3^rd place – Melanie Hedley – San Saba County – $100
4^th place – Hannah Milton – Tarrant County
5^th place – Selah Burnet – Fannin County
6^th place – Charlie Anderson – Waller County
7^th place – Kendall Lisle – Tarrant County
