23rd Annual Somervell County 4-H Horse Camp scheduled for June 6-8, 2011 in Glen Rose, Texas.
Horse Camp is offered at an opportune time for 4-H members to sharpen their skills before the District 4-H Horse Shows, we feel fortunate that we are able to offer this educational experience to 4-H members in such a timely fashion.
The training school provides a superb and most effective method of “hands on” type instruction. The school will be conducted by collegiate horseman, professional horseman, and very qualified 4-H leaders who teach and demonstrate functional horsemanship, and improve horse training skills, both of which are long range goals. These programs will help the 4-H member to learn effective techniques that last a lifetime.
Cost of the camp is $100.00 for Somervell County 4-H members and $150.00 for out of county 4-H members (of which 25.00 is non-refundable/non-transferable). There will not be any refunds given to persons canceling reservations after May 20, 2011. Pre-registration is mandatory. Please mail to Kathy Singletary at the Somervell County Extension Office, by May 6, 2011. Mail enrollment form, camp fees and release form. Registration is limited!
