National 4-H Conference is a premier leadership and citizenship engagement program for youth. Participants select a societal topic and are assigned to roundtables. In these roundtable discussion with other youth and facilitated by a collegiate intern, the youth prepare a briefing that is presented to federal stakeholders during a visit to Capitol Hill. Evening social activities, leadership workshops, and tours of the monuments and museums rounds out the schedule. It is a ‘working conference’ and youth attending are required to actively participate.
The fee to attend National 4-H Conference is $2,000 and is due by February 1, 2016. To provide an idea of what the conference includes, I have attached the day by day schedule from 2015. This conference is held annually and the schedule is similar from year to year.
Please share this opportunity with 4-H members and families. If there are any questions or you need additional information, please contact Dr. Darlene Locke.
