Attention all swine enthusiasts!

If you are a 4-H member that loves the swine project, then the Swine Skillathon is for you!

The guidelines for the 2013 Swine Skillathon have just been released. The guidelines are meant to be a guide for County Extension Agents, Volunteer Leaders, and Youth interested in the Swine Skillathon. Hopefully, this will ease some anxiety related to what the skills stations might consist of, and what the impromptu topics might be associated with the contest.

The guide indicates there will be four skills stations in the contest, and gives eight possible topics that they could be related to. The guide also limits the possible speech topics to three. Youth will have 15 minutest to prepare and 5 minutes to give their speech. A rubric for the speech is also attached. This document will also be posted on the State 4-H Roundup website. If you have any specific questions regarding the contest please contact Brandon Dukes. A special thanks to Brandon for putting together this thorough guide.
